At Belleview Animal Clinic, we understand how much your pet means to you. Our mission is to provide you peace of mind regarding the care of your pet. We are dedicated to working with you in designing a health plan that will facilitate a long and healthful life for your pet. We offer a wide variety of services from both a traditional and holistic approach. The following are some of the services we offer:

  • Physical and Wellness Exams - Physical exams are important for pets of all ages.  Young pets need to be checked for proper weight, growth, and development.  Pets age much more quickly than humans do. By age two, many pets have almost reached adulthood. At age four they are entering middle age, and by age seven many dogs are entering their senior years. We recommend exams every 6 months to keep your pet in optimal health and detect health problems early. Our exams include checking teeth, ears, eyes, heart, lungs, abdomen, muscles, joints, and skin. In addition, we will do, if indicated, blood work, x-rays, blood pressure, or ultrasound diagnostics.

  • Nutritional Counseling - We believe that proper nutrition is the foundation of great health for your pet. We will work with you to design a nutritional plan suited to you and your pet.

  • Behavioral Counseling- Does your pet's behavior sometimes bewilder or frustrate you?  Ask us - we can help.

  • Dentistry - Many pets need to have their teeth cleaned every year. We offer basic and advanced dentistry including dental x-rays, ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and surgical extractions. If your pet qualifies, we now have an anesthetic-free dentist coming to our clinic once a month.  Visit our dental page for more information on home care and what to expect when you bring your pet in for a dental procedure.

  • Blood work - We offer in-house blood work for basic and pre-anesthetic exams.  It is important that your pet be in optimal health prior to receiving an anesthetic. The blood work will examine internal organ function, which is important to the elimination of the anesthetic drugs. Animals may appear perfectly healthy on the outside, yet still have underlying health conditions that may complicate an anesthetic procedure
  • Surgery - We provide both elective and therapeutic surgical services.  We perform spays and neuters, lump removals, laceration repair, eye and ear procedures, and abdominal soft tissue surgery. We also offer orthopedic and other specialized surgeries provided by Dr. David T Matthiesen. See our specialist page for more information.

  • Radiology - We provide state of the art x-ray capabilities, including dental x-rays.  Your pet will receive prompt, accurate radiographic diagnostics.  When necessary, we work with a team of board-certified radiologists that provide us with consults on films and additional procedures such as ultrasounds. Check out our specialist page for more information.

  • Diagnostics - We perform urinalysis, fecal exams, parvo tests, skin and ear cytology, and fungal cultures in-house.

  • Holistic Medicine - Please view our holistic services page for more information.
