We tailor our vaccine programs to your pet's specific needs. Different lifestyles require different types of protection. In addition to traditional vaccines, we offer vaccine Nosodes, which are an oral homeopathic alternative.
NEW THOUGHTS
ON VACCINATING YOUR PET
For years, the standard of care has been vaccinating your pet every year. There is now some very convincing evidence that this may not only be unnecessary, but may be harmful to your pet.
HEALTH RISKS TO OVER-VACCINATING
In dogs: chronic diarrhea, food sensitivities, allergies, seizures, coughing, gagging, skin, ear and eye infections, and certain behavioral problems
In cats: same reactions as in dogs, but also including kidney failure, abnormal grooming behaviors and hyperthyroidism
PROTECTING YOUR PET WITHOUT GIVING THE VACCINES
The latest evidence indicates that the immunity gained from puppy and kitten shots may last for the lifetime of the pet and there is no need for additional vaccines. Most of the diseases we vaccinate against are seen primarily in young animals and not in healthy adults. The best way to keep your pet free of disease is to keep it’s general health good so that it’s immune system will be able to fight the diseases it is exposed to. Nosodes:
These are homeopathic oral vaccines that will offer protection without the potential side effects of traditional vaccines. Please know that certain boarding kennels and groomers will require proof of annual vaccinations and may not accept the nosodes, and that city governments will still require proof of Rabies vaccination in order to license your pet.
Vaccine Detox formula:
We also offer a vaccine detox formula that you can take home with you to give to your pet before and after the vaccine is given to help the body rid itself of the harmful toxins of the vaccine. The detox formula does not erase the vaccine from the body but helps the body heal and rejuvenate itself. It comes in a liquid formula and is given three times a day.
Titer Tests:
The final option in deciding how best to protect your pet is to measure the actual level of protection your pet currently has. If your pet already has enough antibodies against a certain disease, there is no need to worry about further protection. This is done with a blood test to measure antibody levels.
We will work with you to find the program that best suites your pet.
